Breadcrumb Control
Breadcrumb is an implementation of the breadcrumb that was introduced in Windows Vista's explorer. It can be used to select a single item from hierarchical data, much like a TreeView but requiring less screen real estate.

There is even a progress bar embedded in the background of the Breadcrumb control, which supports three different states each with a distinct look.
The progress bar fades into view when it is needed and fades out when not needed.
Automatic Minimization and Hiding
Items can be automatically minimized when they are no longer selected, in order to save on space. When the auto-minimization is not enough, items will be moved to an overflow menu. This keeps items out of the way, but still accessible when space is limited.
Edit Mode
In addition to the interactive navigation, this control supports directly modifying the selected path. There is even a drop-down list for favorite, recent, or any custom items.

Edit mode is an optional feature and can be disabled.
Tail Items
A feature unique to the Actipro Breadcrumb control, is support for any number tail items. By default, the last item displayed is the selected item. When the Breadcrumb control is configured to display tail items, the selection may be changed while keeping the last item visible. This allows for faster navigation, both up and down, a single branch of the data hierarchy.
