Is there an evaluation available for Actipro's .NET controls?
Yes, there are evaluation releases available for all of our .NET control products.
The evaluations can be downloaded from our
download page.
Source Code
Is source code available?
Yes, due to the requests of our customers,
we now offer the source code of most of our products for our large customers via a new purchasing option called a Blueprint license.
Please see the
purchasing information
page for more information on the Blueprint license.
If there is no Blueprint license purchasing option listed on the purchasing information page for a particular product,
source code is not available for that product.
Pricing
Where are the prices of Actipro's .NET controls listed?
Are there volume discounts for multiple license purchases?
Yes, while we have extremely competitive prices to start with, we also provide large "volume" discounts for
customers who purchase multiple licenses in an order.
For our WPF controls, we use a tiered pricing model so that you get increased percentage discounts off
the normal price of each license based on the number of licenses that are ordered.
This volume discount model allows for up to 40% off each license.
For our Windows Forms controls, the typical model is that 4 licenses can be obtained for the price of 3, and
8 licenses can be obtained for the price of 5. In addition, we offer Site and Enterprise licenses that include free annual subscriptions!
What is the definition of a Site license?
A Site license is defined as a license that covers all developers at a single physical location for
your organization. Site licenses also include a free annual subscription.
What is the definition of an Enterprise license?
An Enterprise license is defined as a license that covers all developers in an organization at any of the organization's physical locations.
Enterprise licenses also include a free annual subscription.
What is the definition of an add-on?
An add-on is a special component that adds functionality to another one of our core control products.
Add-ons are sold for a very reasonable price and are an Enterprise license with an annual subscription.
This means that everyone in your organization is licensed for the add-on and it has a year of free updates.
The proper number of licenses for the core control product for which it is an add-on must still be obtained.
An example add-on is the
.NET Languages Add-on for SyntaxEditor.

What sort of licensing model do Actipro's .NET controls use?
Our .NET controls are developer-licensed.
This means that each developer on your project requires their own license, whether they
work with the controls directly or not.
What sort of licensing model do Actipro's .NET control add-ons use?
Our control add-ons, such as the
.NET Languages Add-on
use the same licensing mechanism as the core control products but only offer two purchasing options,
an Enterprise license and a Blueprint (source code) license.
The Enterprise license covers everyone in your organization and includes a year of free upgrades.
Most importantly, the add-on Enterprise license may be purchased even if you only have a single developer license for the related core control product.
We wanted to keep the pricing options for the add-ons as straightforward and cheap as possible,
and make them available to organizations of all sizes that use the core control product.
Please note that you do NOT require an Enterprise license of the core control product to purchase the add-ons.
Anyone with any valid license of the core control product, even a single developer license, can purchase the Enterprise license of the add-ons.
Where can I view the End-User License Agreement for a control?
Each product contains a full End-User License Agreement (EULA) contained within the evaluation and full release ZIP files.
If your legal team needs to review the EULA before purchase, please download the evaluation version of the desired control
and examine the EULA within the ZIP file.
How many licenses do I need to purchase if I work with an Actipro .NET control on my desktop and laptop?
It depends on the situation. If the control is being used on both
a desktop and laptop for a single organization and only by you, then one developer license is all you need.
If you are using the control on your desktop for a license your work owns but you are using the control
on your laptop for personal development, then you need two licenses since there are two organizations involved (your work and you personally).
Do I need to purchase a license for a build machine?
Build machines do not require their own license. Since our .NET controls are developer-licensed,
you only need a license for each developer on your project.
Are there any run-time licensing fees or royalties for Actipro's .NET controls?
No, there are no run-time licensing fees or royalties for our .NET controls.
As long as you own the proper amount of developer licenses, you are all set.

How do I purchase Actipro's .NET controls?
Visit our
Shopping Cart page
and use the links there to add products to your cart.
When you are ready to order the items in your shopping cart, click that page's Checkout button
and follow the easy steps to place your Actipro .NET control order.
How long will it take to process the order?
99.9% of the time, we able to process your order during the same day that you place it.
We are often able to process orders extremely quickly, however please allow up to 3 days,
especially if your order is placed over a holiday or weekend.
 Do you have any reseller partners?

How do I obtain licenses for the products I purchased?
After your order is processed, you will receive an e-mail telling you to log into
your account on our
web site, by using your e-mail address. You may have to
reset your password
if your account is new or you don't remember your password.
Once in your account, go to the
Organization Purchases page.
On that page you can e-mail yourself your license keys for the products that you've purchased.
How do I download products I purchased?
After your order is processed, you will receive an e-mail telling you to log into
your account on our
web site, by using your e-mail address. You may have to
reset your password
if your account is new or you don't remember your password.
Once in your account, go to the
Organization Purchases page.
On that page you can download the full releases of the products that you've purchased.
The full release installers allow you to enter your license keys during the setup process.
I purchased Actipro's .NET controls from a reseller, how do I get my licenses?
If you've purchased from a reseller, you will receive serial numbers that represent your purchases.
You must register your purchases with our web site to obtain your license keys.
Follow these steps once you obtain the serial numbers from your reseller:
- Log into your existing account if you have one. Doing this will ensure the purchases you just made will go into your existing account instead of a new one.
- Register your reseller purchase with Actipro Software by clicking the appropriate link:
- On that page, enter your personal information and the serial number(s) that were provided to you by the reseller.
- After completing the steps on the Actipro Software web site, you will be sent an email that lets you log into your account to retrieve your license(s).
- Log into your Actipro account. The URL and the credentials will be emailed to you by Actipro Software from the last step.
- Use the Organization Purchases to obtain your license(s) and download the full release(s).
