Clicking on intratext adornment line should bring caret nearby

SyntaxEditor for WPF Forum

Hi Actipro

Thanks for implementing the intratext adornments, it has been super useful to us.

I have a suggestion that I think will greatly improve usabilty - currently when we click on an intratext adornment line (not on the actual text but on the adornment's line), caret does not change positions. The caret could be rather far away or even out of view. This is rather frustrating for the user as the user would have forgotten where the caret was, and the user would probably have expected the caret to go somewhere near the click point.

1. Trying this on visual studio's code lens, the caret does indeed appear somewhere near the click point.

2. Clicking on empty space below the last line of the syntax editor also brings the caret to the nearest point on the last line - so this suggestion will be consistent with existing behavior.

Would it be possible for Actipro to implement this please?

Hi Xinen,

We will update unhandled clicks on intra-line adornments to behave as clicking on the owning view line's text area.  This will be in build 661.
