Hi, I'm new to SW and, although I do the vast majority of my coding in the 'Document Source' window, I find that sometimes the 'Design' window is really useful.

The problem I'm experiencing is that often the design display is blank when I switch to it, and if I enter something, e.g. a simple carriage return, it overwrites the original source html document I'm editing with a new document containing what I've just entered in Design view - not a showstopper, and recovery is easy, but puzzling nonetheless.

I'm obviously being dippy, but I can't see what I'm doing wrong (or perhaps not doing right!!).

Can anybody please shed some light.

Apart from that, not a bad little editor - well done SW.

PS - I'm running Vs 5.2 and IE6

Thanks folks,

Regards,

Mick.

Hi Mick,

We use Microsoft's Internet Explorer engine for the designer. Sometimes it can be add oddly if you use some tags it doesn't like. So the best thing to do is if it doesn't load correctly, go right back to source view. Unfortunately since it's a closed source component from Microsoft we can't fix any oddities like that.

I'd (stupidly) put two <title> statements in the html document header - once removed, problem was no more. It was an ex-problem. It had gone to meet it's maker (for all you Monty Python fans).

Mick.
