Evaluation Copy Overview

The evaluation copy of Spider Writer can be downloaded and used 30 times before registration is required. It is completely functional and allows you to use Spider Writer to its fullest. Download Steps

1. Installing Internet Explorer 4.01 or Higher

Spider Writer makes use of Internet Explorer to provide a powerful internal web browser. Accordingly, Internet Explorer must be installed on your system before you can run Spider Writer! Most likely, there already is a version of Internet Explorer installed on your system. Spider Writer requires that the version of Internet Explorer you have installed is 4.01 or higher. If you have version 4.01 or higher already installed, skip to step 2. If not, please go to the Internet Explorer web site, download it, and install it before continuing to step 2.

2. Downloading the Spider Writer Installation Package

Download the Spider Writer installation package (9.2MB) by saving the ZIP file from one of our download sites to your computer:

3. Installing Spider Writer

Unzip the Spider Writer ZIP file or files to a temporary directory. Run SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions to install Spider Writer. You may need to download a ZIP file extractor such as WinZip, if you don't already have one installed.

4. Running Spider Writer

The installation should automatically place an Actipro group in the Programs section of your Start Menu. Spider Writer can also be accessed by navigating to the folder where you installed it and running SW.EXE.

Make sure you have Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher installed before you run Spider Writer!

You should be ready to use the evaluation copy at this point. Once your 30 uses of the evaluation copy expire, you must register Spider Writer to continue using it. For more information on registering, see the purchase page.
