I didn't find this out until recently, but the F10 key in Windows XP (perhaps earlier releases as well) is supposed to activate the menu bar of the active program. It would be nice for Bar Controls to support this shortcut.

The keyboard shortcut information was gleaned from Microsoft.

Thanks, this is now implemented for the next maintenance release.

Hi,

Is there a way to turn off this feature? Not all applications (Visual Studio, for example) use F10 to activate the menu bar, and I need to use F10 as the shortcut key for something else in my application.

Thanks,
Lisa

Hi Lisa,

We've just added code for you so that if the F10 key is assigned as a keyboard shortcut to a command then it will not activate the menu bar and will act as a shortcut. Will that work for you?

Yes, that would be great.

Thanks!

Hello,

After the change you made earlier this year, we've been using the F10 shortcut with no problems. However, I just upgraded to v2.0.90 and the F10 shortcut has stopped working. (All other shortcuts seem to be intact.) Did something else break this?

Thanks,
Lisa

Ahh, yes another feature added several builds later seems to have broken this. It's fixed for the upcoming release, which may be out tomorrow if things go well.
