Locking ToolWindow position - Docking/MDI for Windows Forms Forum

Hello,

I am evaluating UIStudio docking capabilities and have some difficulties with one particular feature. I have a ToolWindow docked to upper-left corner of a form. Now, I want to lock its position so that it is always there no matter what actions the user performs.

Is it possible with UIStudio?

Hi Sergey,

With UIStudio you can turn off options at a tool window or global level for whether tool windows can be dragged, undocked, closed, auto-hidden, etc. (there are a bunch of options). If you turn those things off you can ensure that it stays where you docked it.

However one thing that could happen is that even though your "locked" tool window couldn't move, another tool window could be docked to the left or above it, thus making it slide down. But you can even control whether a tool window can dock on a certain side or not. So that might help if this is a problem for you.
