Add CONF and LOG file types

When we program, we often have .conf and .log files to edit and check in a project.

These filetypes are not available under 'New file' menu.

It would be great adding these extension to the new file menu or making possible for user to define multiple 'synonym' extensions for a same filetype (ie: .conf for INI filetype or .log for TEXT filetype).

Hello,

.log files are already assocated with the plain Text file type, meaning that if you try to open an existing .log file, it will open in the Text file type.  When creating a new .log file, just choose the Text file type and then on the Save dialog, enter a filename with a .log extension.

The .conf file extension is not supported by default but if you go to the Settings, then to File types, and click the arrow next to INI, you will be on a flyout where you can add custom file extensions to allow similar behavior for how .log is associated with Text.
