1st Class Editor! - Spider Writer Suggestions and Support Forum

The latest build of this product (v5.2.0) was released 23 years ago, which was before this thread was created.

I'm so impressed with this software, it's unbelievable! I've tried ALL the editors out there, Frontpage, Hot Dog, Softquad, Coffee Cup, etc...and nothing compares to YOUR product! It runs flawlessly on my system, (Windows XP Home) opens up quickly, runs very smoothly, and NEVER, EVER, has any type of program errors whatsoever! If you don't mid me asking, what code is this written in? How long have you guys been doing this? Keep up the GREAT work, and I'll make sure to spread the word!

Thanks Jeff... it is the product of many years of development. I believe it was started in 1997 or 1998. It's written in VB6.

Can we assume that version 6 will be re-written in VB.Net?

Actually we mostly work in C# now. First we need to finish our user interface components (like the syntax highlighting editor and menu/toolbar system) and then there is a possibility we will create a new version of Spider Writer in .NET sometime down the road.
