SpiderWriter 4.02 does not support IE 6

The latest build of this product (v5.2.0) was released 23 years ago, which was before this thread was created.

My SpiderWriter 4.02 has stopped working since I installed IE 6 (SP1). Please provide a work around. Thank you.

In IE6, Microsoft stopped including the registry key we checked for the IE
version. You can either download version 5.2 of Spider Writer or can do the
following workaround:

Use regedit to go to this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Add a version string named:
Version

and make its value:
6.00

The version string already existed. By changing it from 6.0.2800.1106 to 6.00.2800.1106, I was able to get SpiderWriter to run. Thank you again for your quick response; I will shortly upgrade to 5.2.
