Is it possible to add a feature so you can go into "block editing" mode so that the cursor spans more than one line. Anything typed or deleted affects all selected rows. Thanks.

Marianne,

Do you mean where you can select a "rectangle" of characters across columns and rows?

Yes, exactly. Or, if the width is 0, then you're just inserting across all the lines instead of replacing text, but yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about.

Is this the same functionality as in VS.NET for their block editing mode? That is on the TODO list however it is going to be somewhat difficult to add and might be a while.

If it works the same as other editors I've seen out and about, then yes. 'Til now, I was unaware that VS even had a block edit mode. Still don't know how to access it... But that's hardly an issue for you <IMG SRC="wink.gif" border="0">

Thanks again.

Hold down Alt in VS.NET and select. You can see their implementation of block selection. Is that what you're looking for?

This is almost what I'm looking for. I'm sending you a sample app to look at with more details on what exactly I mean. Thanks.
