It would be great if there was an easy way to use SyntaxEditor as a Windows preview handler, eg a sample project. I'd like to include this functionality in my product.

I'd image this would be quite popular among customers, as would allow custom languages to be displayed properly in Windows File Explorer and Outlook, etc.

I think it would also make good freeware, like CodeHilighter.

Here's an example

Thanks

Hi Robert,

Doing previews with SyntaxEditor is pretty trivial since you just need to swap in one language or another based on what file extension the file is.  You can set the document to be read-only so that the user can't modify it.

I agree that bit is trivial, its building a preview handler with SyntaxEditor thats the problem. I tried a while ago and gave up. Thats why if you guys did it it would be easy to all your customers to use it.

Perhaps its not clear what a preview handler actually is?
