Serialize floating/rafting windows - Docking/MDI for WPF Forum

Hi,

I want to be able to save the content of individual floating/rafting windows.

For example, I have 3 dock windows that are docked together inside a floating window. I want to be able to save/serialize the content of that floating window as a group (the window with the 3 dock windows within).

I then want to be able to load/deserialize that window (floating window with 3 dock windows), without closing the current layout.

Is there a simple or not-so-simple to do this?

Any help appreciated!

Hi,

While you can use our serialization mechanism to save all the tool windows for a dock site (even ones docked together in the rafting window), and then restore them the same way later, the serialization mechanism applies to all tool windows in the dock site. You can't pick and choose to only affect some by the load but not others.
