Hello,

Just ran through you Ribbon control and noticed some possible issues.

- The minimize functionality is not working. Usually an option in the speedbar dropdown and by double-clicking a tab.

- Drawing of the control while in Vista needs some cleaning up. Being a WPF control this shouldn't be difficult.

Question: Does it support context tabs? There was no demo of this feature.

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the comments!

Just FYI, we keep a list of which Microsoft ribbon UI design guidelines are complete here and also in the Ribbon docs:
http://www.actiprosoftware.com/Products/DotNet/WPF/Ribbon/RibbonUIGuidelines.aspx

We have completed all of the required guideline items so that you are compliant with Microsoft ribbon UI licensing requirements however we still have some optional items left to do.

Since there is so much interest in a ribbon control for WPF, we released the control with full implementation of required items and some (but not all) optional items.

The minimize feature is an "optional" guideline item that we will be adding shortly.

We also have written down to improve the Vista rendering.

Context tabs are another "optional" guideline item that isn't yet in the product. But the good news is that we've already started on implementing this item so hopefully it will make the next release or two.

I hope that helps explain everything. Referencing that guidelines page will give you a good idea of where we're at. And we are using it as our future development roadmap. In future versions, Ribbon will implement more and more optional items on that list until all of them are knocked out.

It's always great to hear what you want to see though because that helps us prioritize which items get worked on first.

Hi Doug,

Quick update... context tabs are feature complete now and ready to launch in the next update. Boy do they look nice and they work exactly like in Office, along with implementation of all the ribbon UI guidelines for them.

There should be a new Ribbon release in the next several days. We'll try and push it out quickly since this is a highly requested feature.

Hi Doug,

Another quick update for you, the build that came out today has ribbon minimization implemented. Context tabs and some other features were added in the build previous to this one.
