Hello,

we are using Actipro-SyntaxEditor Version 4.0.290.0 in our Software to edit our own pascal-like programming language.

When user try to assign a hebrew text to an string and writes something like

txtVar := "בסיסי ניקוי"

and after that clicks on another region in the sourcode-editor, the signs of the text "jump around" and are changing.

I tried this with the demo-version of the latest version of Actipro-SyntaxEditor, too, but it has the same effect.

Is this an known problem?

Is there any Solution in future?

Regards,

R. Scheller

Hello, I'm sorry but the WinForms SyntaxEditor doesn't support bi-directional text editing and Hebrew uses a right-to-left reading order.

That being said, the WPF SyntaxEditor does support bi-directional editing and thus supports RTL languages like Hebrew and Arabic.
