We have a commercial application (ERP), want to include an editor. net and we are evaluating SyntaxEditor. NET.

  • A developer creates a dll with editor using SyntaxEditor. NET.
  • This dll is included in the application that is developed by two programmers, although they never edited the dll.
  • The application is sold to many companies, your programmers will use the editor to write code.

We would like to know the type of license you need.

Thanks.

Hi Jose,

Thanks for writing.  Check out this page since it describes the licensing:

https://www.actiprosoftware.com/purchase/sales-faq#licensing1

We basically license per developer on your team that is working on or compiling the projects that use our products.  So if all three of your developers are compiling the portion of the app that uses SyntaxEditor, you'd need 3 developer licenses for SyntaxEditor and the Enterprise license of the SyntaxEditor .NET Languages Add-on.

There are no runtime or redistribution royalties, so you are free to redistribute the licensed .dlls to your customers.

If you have any further questions, please write our sales address and we'll be happy to answer them.
