Is there any way to cut and paste a section of text and have it maintain the sections of collapsed outlining?

So suppose our user has created some code in the editor...they've collapsed some of the outlining regions...they then select the outlined text and drag it a few lines up...we'd like whatever regions were collapsed to remain collapsed.
Ok I see what you mean. I'm not sure if we'd be able to do that since outlining nodes are rebuilt when the text is reinserted so there is no state persistence.

which was after the last post in this thread.
