I'm looking at the sample code using a ribbon with the quick access toolbar apprearing in the title of the applicaiton by way of a custom window chrome.

We are trying to do the same but when we display it the QAT appears on a new row rather than in the title taking up a lot of extra space.

What is the likely causes of this?  I've not got a sample to demonstrate it as it seems to have only become a problem since upgrading to 2016.1 and before then it would appear to the right of the last tab.

Hi Ian,

Can you show a screenshot of before/after so we can understand better what you are describing?  But generally speaking, unless you are using a RibbonWindow as your Window's base class, the QAT won't appear in the title bar portion of the title bar properly.

Sending a new simple sample project to our support address and referencing this thread would be the best thing to do since then we can debug what you see and tell you what's going on.  You should be able to repro any scenario like this just by adding a Ribbon to a window the same way you do with your app and using blank or dummy content elsewhere to mimic your real app functionality.  Be sure to rename the .zip file extension of what you send so it doesn't get spam blocked.
