Obfuscating Actipro assemblies for builds created using Actipro source code per EULA

The Actipro EULA states the following requirement: "Any object code that is created by using the Source Code or derivative code based on the Source Code must be obfuscated."

What is the level of obfuscation that must be applied on assemblies produced from Actipro source code (e.g. variable renaming, string obfuscation, control-flow obfuscation, debug prevention attribute, etc.)? How far must Actipro clients go to satifsfy this requirement?

Thank you,
Johannes

Hi Johannes,

Thanks for writing.  I'd suggest doing variable renaming and string obfuscation at a minimum.  Anything above that is whatever you feel comfortable with.
