Good question. In my scenario I use it in a settings menu for the customer to define where things will be stored. Editors seem to fit more in my opinion as its just a small control for path validation (i.e. doubleeditbox is only a numeric control for double validation) with the possiblity to choose the location via Win32 dialogs. Of course it has something to do with flie directories but unless you want to make something bigger out of it, I think Shell wouldn't be a better choice.
