Migrating to newer version

Grids for WPF Forum

Hi,

In our project we are using Actipro Wpf Controls 16.1.636 version.

We plan to migrate to the new version available (may be 19.1.681). As part of this, I downloaded the newest version and tried the evaluation version.

When I changed the reference, I could see there are lot of changes in the Property name, event handlers etc in PropertyGrid control in the newer version. Few eg:

SelectedObject property is changed to DataObject

PropertyChanged event to PropertyValueChanged etc...

How can i know the exact property or type or method to replace my old code??

Is there any upgradation note available where all the mappings are present.

As of now the change seems to be very difficult as there are lot of enhancements that has come in...

Thanks,

Irshad M

Hello,

The documentation file (available after you install) has detailed conversion documentation for breaking changes.  Please see the "Converting from Previous Versions / Converting to 2017.1" topic as it will point you to the product-specific topic for the changes.

That should get you on the right track.  If you have any trouble converting something after looking at that documentation, please post in the appropriate forum and we can help.

Well, I've met the same request, thanks for your solution.

The latest build of this product (v24.1.3) was released 24 days ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
