With the advent of version 2019.1, the vertical view split option was removed. Is there a way for our users to get similar functionality?

Hi Chris,
We did remove that feature from the product since it added a lot of complexity internally for a feature that isn't supported by Visual Studio any more either. That being said, you can still achieve a similar feature if you create a second SyntaxEditor instance, place it side-by-side with the first SyntaxEditor, and point it to the same document as the first SyntaxEditor.
