Highlighting text

Hi,

I have a question about text being highlighted when the Find/Replace is active.

Steps:

  • Run the SDI Code Editor sample
  • Press Ctrl-F to bring up the Find overlay
  • Highlight lines 26 to 33
  • Press the "Comment Selected Lines" button on the toolbar - the lines are now commented out
  • Move the cursor to another line that was not highlighted
  • Lines 26 to 33 are still highlighted

Doing the same steps again without the Find overlay active and there is no highlighted text.

Why are these lines highlighted, and is there any way to switch it off?

Hi Gavin,

The blue region there is showing the range that will be searched when Selection scope in the search overlay pane is used.  It appears this scenario is incorrectly triggering the scope range highlight to show, even though Selection scope is not selected in the search overlay pane.  We have fixed this for the next maintenance release.
