Hello,

we have encountered an issue with the Window Chrome when the application is moved to a different screen. However the problem only occurs with the following conditions:

  1. Windows 11 21H2 is used (with 22H2 everything works as expected)
  2. The window is moved with the docking shortcut (Win key + cursor)
  3. The application is moved from the right (secondary) screen to the left (primary)

In this case the application is moved the left screen, but the Window Chrome (shadow and border) stays on the right screen.

I have tested this with the versions 22.1.4 and 23.1.3.

Best regards, Tobias Lingemann.

Hi Tobias,

That is certainly odd, and thank you for reporting this. For the shadow to be left behind like that is an indicator that the events we watch to move the shadow aren't firing as they should. You indicated this is only reproducible on Windows 11 21H2, and it honestly sounds like a Windows bug.  Especially since it was fixed in subsequent releases of Windows 11. Early releases of Windows 11 had a fair number of obscure bugs like that.

Since this appears to be resolved in newer versions of Windows 11 and 21H2 reaches end-of-servicing next month (Oct 10, 2023), this isn't something we can reasonably pursue even if workaround for the bug could be identified.
