What is this mess? Your file icon is red in File Explorer, but it turns white on the Taskbar. Where is the consistency? This "white" icon completely gets lost among other apps, forcing me to waste time searching for it every single time. It’s a total UX nightmare.

Look at a monster like Excel—they don't mess around with "hiding" their identity. Their icons are bright green everywhere, saving the user's eyes and time. Why can't you do the same?

Pick one recognizable color and stick to it across the entire OS. Stop making us hunt for your app like it’s a hidden object game. My eyes and my time are not for you to waste.

The white icon is the only one on my entire taskbar. This suggests that other apps don't adhere to the idea of "Keeping the user's eyes open and losing our identity."

While every other professional app (like Excel or Vivaldi) uses bold, recognizable colors to save the user’s eyes and provide instant navigation, you chose to disappear.

Hello and thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.

Code Writer's current icon was originally designed during the Windows 10 era, when live tiles and their color‑adaptable styling were part of the platform guidelines. We recognize that this doesn't align as well with modern Windows 11 UI expectations, and updating the icon has been on our list for some time.

We already have a refreshed design prepared that fits better with Windows 11's visual direction, and we'll work to include it in an upcoming release.
