Can I use the SyntaxEditor assembly in a smart client application without running in any license troubles?

Sure... once you own the proper number of developer licenses there are no redistributable fees. But to get the licensing popup to disappear, every assembly that creates an instance of the control must have the licensing info compiled into it. This is done by compiling your assembly on a computer with the licensing installed and making sure the project has a proper licenses.licx entry in it.

If you still have some questions as to whether it will work, please post your project setup (i.e. multiple project and how they relate, etc.).
