It seems that if customisations have been saved for parent and child command links (differential) and then those barcommands are deleted at design-time, an exception is thrown during the next attempt to load the prior barlayout ("the tag 'CommandLink' may not be parent to a 'CommandLinks' tag").

Will email a modified test app and saved barlayout via email but that's the general gist of it.

Using .99, but didn't look like any of the previous updates since addressed this issue.

Was this ever solved? I'm getting something similar:

Exception Message: An error occurred while loading the layout data:
The tag 'DockableToolBars' may not be parent to a 'DockedStateInfo' tag.

This occurs when I try and set BarManager.DifferentialBarLayoutData in 2.0.107

Hi Mike, I believe build 106 fixed Chien's issue.

If you have another problem, first try the latest build to see if it still happens with that. If so then please put together a new simple sample project that shows it and email it over with steps to reproduce. Rename the .zip file so it doesn't get spam blocked.

The latest build of this product (v24.1.0) was released 2 months ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
