Change style of Ribbon PopupButton when content is empty?

I'm using PopupButtons from the Ribbon.Controls namespace. Ideally, I'd like for these controls to re-style to look like a Button if the associated menu is empty. Perhaps something like the DisplayMode property does on the PopupButton class in the ActiproSoftware.Windows.Controls namespace. Is there a way to do that now?

Unfortunately right now Button, PopupButton, and SplitButton are separate control types in Ribbon and they each behave differently. One thing we may do in a future version is make a single class for those 3 and have a DisplayMode sort of property that would let you switch.

Hi guys,

Is it still planed to add a DisplayMode property on WPF Ribbon PopupButton?

Thanks,

Hi David,

It is still a possibility but is a low priority TODO item at this time since there are some distinct behaviors that the variants (Button, PopupButton, and SplitButton) each have.

Thanks for your quick answer.

Maybe we could change the default template if it's available?

Hi David,

Sure, all our default templates are available for download from your account if you are a WPF Studio customer. If you have purchased an individual product or WPF Essentials, you can email our support to get them.
