I expect &File menu to open when I type Alt+F. Instead &File menu is selected but I have to hit down arrow to get it open. Any ideas?

When I try it in our sample project, it's working as expected. The problem could lie in your code somewhere.

Clarification: it works if you hold Alt and press F. If you press Alt, the focus goes to the File menu. Then release Alt and press F. Nothing happens. This is different from the applications like Visual Studio, office, notepad etc.
