Build Server locking up unless product is installed.

We use a build server to build our product. If we don't install the software with the key on the server, the Not Registered box comes up during the build process and locks up TeamCity.

Is there a work around for this?

Hi Joe,

If you don't install, the license data will not be on the build machine. We typically recommend to install on build machines with all install options turned off. This will ensure the licensing gets put on the build machine, but will not put on samples, documentation, etc.

There is another way to get licensing data on the machine that we can talk about if you email us, but we would recommend installing with options off instead.

We don't care if we have to install it, we just don't want to violate the license.

We don't require that extra licenses be purchased for build servers so that is ok.

The latest build of this product (v24.1.5) was released 1 month ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
