Hi,

Why is removing a previous build needed during setup of a new one ?

Having a few projects who can't be upgraded at once, i keep uninstalling and installing each time i switch to an older project and back.

Hi Kris,

We've found in the past that if you reference one older version but a newer version is also in the GAC, VS could sometimes compile with the newer version. If you plan on supporting multiple builds, it's probably best to not install to the GAC, then copy our assemblies folder to another location and keep the older versions uninstalled. This way you can still reference the old versions ok from your other location, and you'll have access to the newest version's documentation, etc.
