RibbonWindow Title - Ribbon for WPF Forum

Version: 9.1.0507

After upgrading to version 9.1.507, we lost the glow affect around the title of Ribbon Windows. As a result, the title is very difficult to read unless the background behind the ribbon window is a light color. Has this been fixed in the latest version?

FYI, this has only been tested on Windows 7.

Jon,

It should work fine in Win7 unless you are .NET 4.0-based. In .NET 4.0, Microsoft removed bitmap effects, which is what Ribbon currently uses to do the glow. We plan on WPF Studio 2010.1 moving to be .NET 3.5 SP1-based, which is the minimum needed to use the newer effects Microsoft added that can replace the old way. We don't have a date for that yet though. Perhaps you can target .NET 3.5 in the meantime?
