Platform: .NET 4.0
Environment: Windows XP (32-bit)
Just tested this on XP with .NET 4.0 and VS2010 RC, build 515. Same issue across themes... can't test on other OSes.
1) Open Document Editor Sample
2) Open Application Menu
3) Open New Submenu (use Split Arrow or mouse over to open -- anything where your mouse does not enter the sub menu yet)
4) Now, keep a close eye on the "New Text Document" item (2nd item)...
5) Mouse Over 1st item
6) Now mouse over the "New Text Document" item... you'll notice the item shifts up 1 pixel.
7) Happens every time you close / re-open the sub-menu
8) Only happens once while the sub-menu is open
9) First item does not shift
