No eMail-notification - why?

What do you mean by email notification?

The UBB Board features email notification - that means if I write a post, and someone replies to it, I will be notified by the board about it.

Email features have now been enabled for the bulletin board. When you post new topics you should see a checkbox that allows you to receive email notifications when people reply.
