Outlining icons at smaller font sizes, bug or intentional!?

When the editor is used at smaller font sizes with a display line height less than the default the outling expander and contractor icons become needlessly ridiculously small - so much so that the [+] and [-] become indestinguishable, even though there is more than enough room for them to display at their normal size in the line height available. Is this avoidable, is there some option or custom rendering facility that can work around this or is it just a bug?

We made them so they grow with the size of the font. This is nice when the font is larger. However we've now changed the code to make a minimum size for when the font is smaller. That way the indicators will still be at their "normal" size with small fonts. This will be in the next maintenance release.
