How do you tell if a ToolWindow is open? - Docking/MDI for Windows Forms Forum

Checking the Visible property doesn't work because that returns false if the Toolwindow is in a tabbed group and it isn't at the front. What I want is way to tell if the tool window is open so that I can reflect that state in a BarButtonCommand via the Check property.

Hi Keith,

The Active property tells you if the tool window is somewhere in the layout. It doesn't necessarily mean that the tool window is the selected tool window in a tab.

Thanks. That makes sense.

The latest build of this product (v24.1.0) was released 7 months ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
