level of effort to upgrade to v4 - SyntaxEditor for Windows Forms Forum

i'm just curious as to how much stuff will break when upgrading to v4, whether its alot of effort just to get it to work as is (without taking into account all the new features) or whether its quite trivial..

Hi Karl,

There are a fair number of things to change. The biggest hit areas are languages, tokens, and span indicators. However I believe we did a very good job of explaining the major change areas in a "Converting from v3.x to v4.0" topic in the documentation. Also, in the Readme's Release History, we detail out every breaking change to the object model and give pointers on how to correct it. If you have any questions after reading through those, please feel free to post here and we will help point you in the right direction.
