install problem - SyntaxEditor for Windows Forms Forum

just downloaded the editor...

setup.exe -> 1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime
issscripting.msi -> Error 1327.Invalid Drive E:\

I have no drive E: and have no idea why that error could occur on my system.
Windows XP, VS.NET, etc., already installed.

Joe,

It should work fine. That build has been out for several weeks and nobody else has had any issues with it. The problem you indicated is occurring in the InstallShield installer for some reason. You should be able to unzip the ZIP file to a folder and run setup.exe. Some people MAY need to run the other ISScript.msi first though. Is that what you tried installing? You may need admin rights on your computer for that, which I assume you have. If you still have problems you might try to consult InstallShield's support forums to ask what that error means.
