Converting LayoutFile from DockableWindows - Docking/MDI for Windows Forms Forum

Version: 2.0.75

With the next version of the software I'm working on, we switch from DockableWindows to UIStudio.
It would be nice when the window layout, which is saved to a file when the application closes,
kept working with the next version.

Is it possible to load window layouts saved by DockableWindows (<dockable-window-layout version="2.0">)
with UIStudio? Or is there a converter?

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately there isn't a way to convert the layout over. The design of UIStudio docking controls are much better in that they dock to the outside of the container control as opposed to requiring a control that fills the container control, meaning the information stored is a little different. This newer design allows for standard MDI to be implemented.
