With version 3.1 is there a way for me to detect the user is attempting to modify the text, either through typing, pasting, etc..., and have the option to prevent the change from occuring?

Hi sorry but that is not an option in v3.1 However it is a v4.0 option. v4.0 allows you to look at a modification before it occurs and cancel it if desired.
