Setting Caret Offset forces unnecessary scroll

Hi,

We have recently upgraded to this version and noticed a change of behavior when setting Caret Offset. Whenever we set the Caret Offset the editor scrolls to the line where the Caret was set even if all the text can be displayed in the viewport. The problem is that the remaining text goes (unecessarly) out of view. 

How can we prevent this?
