the code writer app disapeared from the start screen (also in apps).
When i tryed to reinstall it failed with the argument that the app can't run on the surface. (Windows RT 8.1)

I'm sorry to hear that. Nothing has changed on our end and this sounds like more of a low-level system issue that is out of our control (not due to our programming).
I would suggest searching the Internet for whatever error message comes up to see if there is assistance provided there, or post in Microsoft's Windows forums to see if they can help you get it working again on your machine. Nothing has changed on our end in terms of compatibility, etc. It should fully support Windows RT 8.1.

The latest build of this product (v4.2.42) was released 4 years ago,
which was after the last post in this thread.
