Hello,

when a developer went back to his computer after having launched one application from remote, the following crash occured:

http://s12.postimg.org/bsx0i9pq5/stack1.png

http://s10.postimg.org/ygfj3j2ll/stack2.png

The ribbon seems to be directly causing the crash.

EDIT: After trials of several scenarios, we were able to narrow it down to the smallest number of steps:

SCENARIO-1

1. From PC#2, in Remote Desktop, start the application and click on the Back button in the backstage.
2. Disconnect the remote session.
3. Log-in on PC#1.

RESULT: The focus goes to a tab in the backstage.

SCENARIO-2

1. From PC#2, in Remote Desktop, start the application and click on the Back button in the backstage.
2. Minimize the application window.
3. Disconnect the remote session.
4. Log-in on PC#1.
5. Restore the application window from minimized state.
6. Minimize the application window.
7. From PC#2, in Remote Desktop, restore the application from minimized state.

RESULT: The program has crashed and shows the error in the images above. Note that the ribbon is in an unnatural state.

Note that the problem occured on both Windows 8 and 10.

Hi Stephane,

Can you try this scenario with our latest 2016.1.0631 Sample Browser app (the main Ribbon demo) and see if it occurs for you there?  Thanks!

Hi,

it is going to take me a few days before I can do this test. Did you manage to reproduce the bug on your side, either with a 2015 or a 2016 version?

Do you see a way to work around it, some temporary fix?

Thanks!!

Which specific version are you using?  Have you tried this with the latest (2016.1 build 632)?  If not, please try it with build 632 and let us know the results.

Hello,

I tried again with our latest codebase and still don't see any sort of crashes happening.  Please tell us exactly which build you are using (16.1.0633, etc.) and give specific instructions on how to reproduce this with our main Sample Browser app.  Thanks!
