looking at your page http://www.actiprosoftware.com/products/controls/wpf/ribbon/backstage I found the backstage applicationmenu having icons next to the buttons. I did not find a sample that demonstrates that. In contrast the backstage tab demo is only showing white text on a blue background.
How can I archieve such a result?

Hi David,
Yes, in more recent versions, we updated the Backstage button templates to not use icons and to mimic the newer Office appearance. You would need to update the style/template of the Backstage buttons to achieve a look with icons again.
If you have older WPF Studio version licenses, you can download the default styles/templates for the older versions to get the XAML we used to use. I believe we made that change in the 2016.1 version. Any version before that should have the template you want.
