The coulmn count in the status bar is off - it jumps from col 26 to col 28. I found this bug when pasting as string inot the app to get string's length.

Hi Patrick,
Column is calculated based on the current X-location divided by the space width. If you are using a fixed-width font, I wouldn't expect to see what you are describing. If you are using a variable-width font, then it certainly could happen and wouldn't be considered a bug.
