Suggestion: Huge files and out-of-memory

Hi Folks,

I'm using Code Writer as a powerful text editor on Windows 10 (ie. not as a developer).  I recently tried to look at a very large text file (1.2GB) but (unsurprisingly) got an Out-of-memory error. 

Is there some way to simply load what CAN be fitted in so that I can at least see part of the file?  That would be better than not being able to see anything.

Hi Joachim,

Unfortunately we don't really have a way to know at what point an out of memory exception could occur.  Also, sorry but we don't have anything that would only load a portion of a file.

The latest build of this product (v4.2.42) was released 4 years ago, which was after the last post in this thread.
