FormatSelection duplicates text

Hi

When I select a whole xml tag, it works as it should. but if no tag i selected, and the caret is placed inside an attribute, or an attributes value, some of the text gets duplicated.

Select-> <Tag> <-Selectend
would work as intended.

but with
<tag attribute="value">
and with the caret inside attribute or value text, and no selection, the text around will be duplicated. same thing if the selection is just inside a tag.

Any ideas on this one?
