Why doesn't SyntaxEditor derive from TextBoxBase?

It would make working with it alongside other TextBox controls a bit easier.

TextBoxBase is very closely tied to the Win32 textbox base types and is based mostly on Win32 messages, etc. SyntaxEditor is a 100% custom C# .NET control and isn't based on Win32.
