Icon Drop Shadows - Ribbon for WPF Forum

I've noticed in office there is a subtle 2 or 3 pixel drop shadow on most of the ribbon icons. Could this be added to the actipro ribbon? I think it would make the ribbon look a little nicer.

Hi Bryan,

I agree, the drop shadows do make things look a bit nicer.

However I'm not aware of a way to do those other than the use of bitmap effects. The problem with bitmap effects is that they slow down UI (especially when used in the number that would be needed for Ribbon) and also they aren't compatible with XBAP. If you come across another way to do them, please email us and we'll be happy to look into it.
