Menu does not close on click

In the ActiproRibbonSample (the document editor) in the Button tab, if you use the Popup Standard button you get a Menu with the 4 alignments. If you then click in the document it closes the menu as expected. However, clicking anywhere else does not. Word '07 does. In fact, Word '07 actually allows a click to go through and act as though the menu were not open at all (while simultaneously closing an popup menu.)
